Rip Curl Pro Search – ASP World Tour event
October 30 to November 10, 2010
Rincón will host one of the most exciting events in surfing from October 30th through November 10th as the Rip Curl Pro Search takes place on the ‘Sunset Coast’ of Rincon in the Northwest corner of Puerto Rico’s “Porta del Sol”.
Since there aren’t any large hotels close to the surfing sites – our small hotels will put you just a few minutes from all the action and excitement as world class surfers challenge the best waves in the Caribbean!
Daily flights to nearby Aguadilla’s Rafael Hernández Airport (Airport Code BQN) provide easy access to all of our member hotels. You can also fly into San Juan (Airport code SJU) and drive approximately 2 hours along Puerto Rico’s north coast.

San Juan’s Biennial International Artisans’ Fair
Every two years, Old San Juan hosts one of the world’s major International Fairs to display the work of artisans from more than 30 countries and Puerto Rico. Based in Old San Juan’s Plaza Colón, the festival features artcraft for sale by the artists, workshops, exhibitions, seminars and some of Puerto Rico’s favorite entertainers.
Small Hotels in Old San Juan will be very popular during the festival, so make your reservations early.
Small Hotels in Condado, Ocean Park and Isla Verde are just a 10-20 minute bus ride away from Old San Juan with the new C53 bus that has frequent service along Isla Verde Avenue and Condado’s Ashford Avenue before crossing the lagoon to Old San Juan. Bus fare is only .75 each way, exact change required.
Hotels in Miramar are a just 10 minutes away from Plaza Colón with the M3 bus .50 each way, exact change required.

Puerto Rico Salsa Congress

The last week of July finds music and dance taking center stage at Isla Verde’s El San Juan Resort which hosts one of the most popular annual salsa events in the world!

Rincon Film Festival
One of the most popular events in western Puerto Rico’s Porta del Sol region is the annual Rincón Film Festival. Nightly screenings take place at various hotels and beaches throughout Rincón.
